V2 Aero Outrigger
The Aero Outrigger improves the stability of the Aero skis by preventing them from tipping over to the side, just like an outrigger on a canoe. Generally only one Outrigger is mounted to the outside of each ski. As the skier becomes more comfortable the Outrigger can be gradually rotated away from the ground until they provide stability only when the ski is substantially tipped. When the skill level has been increased significantly, the Outriggers can be removed.
Only very skilled skiers can classic ski on the Aero XL150SC without Outriggers and we recommend them for beginning skate skiers who use Aero’s.
